...and it sounds like a wasp's fart[:0].

Does anybody have any pointers for replacing the pathetic wimper of a horn for something befitting a car, rather than a scooter?

Help on where the wires come from and go to and if you know what type of horn is a good replacement would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Well, there is room behind the passenger side headlight for a compressor for air horns.

The wiring for the existing squeek is long enough to come back through under the headlight.

My horns are mounted on top of the suspension turret on the opposite side (using one of the shock absorber bolts)

If it wasn't so dark under the tree where the Panda lives it might be a bit clearer, but you get the drift.

They are very satisfying to use.

The electrics probably won't cope with continuous use:D:D

Oh, I almost forgot, there's nearly 2 metres of piping runs around the back of the engine bay to join the bits together:I

I went to a scrappers and pulled out a ford escort horn.. its a two part unit rather than the 1 part pandas use.. but it was not hard to fit and its really beefy :)

Because every fox needs one

Which wires do i need to look out for? From what i can piece together, the horn is under the bumper on the passenger side.

Is it just as easy to find the horn wiring from the column under the bonnet and connect to that?

The pair of wires which go to the horn emerge from the loom under the the back of the passenger side headlight.

It's fairly tight down there for my old hands:( You might manage more easily than me.

One wire is grey/black the other voilet.

The violet one is +12 straight from fuse 3.

The grey/black finds an earth via the horn push etc.

Halfords do a nice pair of airhorns complete with everything (bar wiring) for around £15.
These fit really well to the air-intake box above the air filter housing, with the comressor just below on the rhs(front) and the relay fitted to the rhs near the servo.
Piercing !![}:)]
