IV GOT A KNOCKING NOISE.. PLZ HELP ME

Recently my bravo 1.6sx has started making a knocking noise. its coming from the front underside of the car. it starts when i go above 30mph and gets faster when i accellerate.
Id take it to a garage but most of em are GREASY coyboys and the blokes a FIAT said it was going to cost me near 40 knicker just to look at it!!!! BASTARDS!

any help would be oh so much appreciated.
