need to know what head unit you have before anyone can help

if you have a double din unit then you wont be able to fit it in a mk2 punto without a lot of modification to the dash

if its a single din then you have to get a fascia plate for it

its a single din,i got it of a mate,he gave me a fascia plate for it but the dvd player its self doesnt seem to fit fully back in the slot. its like it needs to go further in but no matter what i so i cant get it to slide further back :( i was wondering if that was suppost to be like that and i needed a special fascia or something?? :)

no its just the mass of wires alot of people have problems with it you need to tuck them in to the corners as much as possible to make space

some people have bent wire coat hangers so they can poke it up through from under the dash and pull the wires down as you push the head unit in

yeah might have to give that a go you know see if thats the problem :) cheers

Some OE headunits (don't know if this is the case with Mk2's) have a support bracket behind the headunit. Have a look in there and see if there is anything like that which can be removed.

yeah i saw one when putting it in,when i first had the trouble i was gunna snap it off but was reluctant as the dvd player might just slide straight through and then i would be F**ked lol

make sure everything works fully before you fully clip everything into the dash especially as most fascia plates tend to break a tab off when you try to remove them
