[RANT]Starting to think there is....

I parked my car up last night to take my girlfriend for a meal and come back about an hour later to find the front bumper totally cracked and the metal bracing bent back on the passenger side and the headlamp totally smashed...

Which made me think it was another car but can't see any other paint and there is also deep scratches all over the bonnet!

Just great!

Just to make things worse I had to cut the plastic inside the wheel arch so I could turn the wheels to drive the 40mins home again! [/RANT]

So I know need a new headlamp
New bumper
And the most expensive bit a front end resparay!

what about the slam panel? did that survive?

if it was bumper to bumper there wouldnt really b a lot of paint exchange.

i have just got mine back from havin that sort of work done, cost over £1000.

Really stupid question!

Is the slam panel the metal bar that goes across the front?
If yes that was bent back and had to use brute force and all of my 9stone to bend it back into shape enough to drive home!

But the scrathces have got my wondering they go about 8inches up the bonnet all the way across!

yup thats the slam panel, its one of the crumple zoney type bits i think, aka once its gone its not normally safe to bend it back and keep using it dont think (could be completely wrong on this so dont take my word for it)

Well not driving it at the moment, and luckily work is only a mile away from home...
So anybody know where I can get any of these parts i need from?

Was thinkin of getin maybe a storm, abarth, hormann front bumper... but do these fit on the existing bumper?

storm 1 and abarth go over the std bumper, hormann and storm 2 are whole new bumpers

I had my front end redone for £800

and a badboy bonet for £500 was happy with that
i may have a black front bumper for sale soon if that mite help

yes the panel on top of the headlights, its called the slam panel because you slam the bonnet on to it.

if you mean the bar that the front bumper is attched to then thats a totally different thing.

Had a chat with my dad (used to be a mechanic) and this isn't the slam panel it's lower down than that in front of the wheel arch....

Anyone know what this is called?!

Also does anybody know if the bumper on here is the correct one for a sporting as it says not painted type.. so do they mean it's for sx or do they fit both?!
