Aftinoon all!
From what I've read, the Punto mk1 60s 1.2, only never came with the 8v engine, is this true?

Because, when I open the hood, there is a sticker on a grey box, right next to the front left wing, saying the engine is 1.2 16v. Is there a simple way to check to see how many valves the car really has?

Cheers
Matt

does your engine look like-

The oil cap on an 8V is a rubbery push fit type and the oil cap on a 16v is a plastic screw fit type.(y)

maybe just some previous chavv'ers damage (i.e a sticker saying its a 16v when in fact its not)

the bare cyldiner head on a 8v will be about 4" wide and std length, with the spark plugs on the back of the engine on induction side.
the bare cylinder head on a 16v unit will be about 6-7" wide and the spark plugswill be sunk well down inside it
