Hi All
Just joined after buying our second motorhome last week.
This is based on a 2017 130 BHP Ducato.
I have an issue causing the Engine Management light to come on, symptoms below:

Error code P158115 Oil Vapour Heater/Blow-by Heater
All fuses are good.
When code is erased, all may run fine for a while eg recently went 80 miles without recurrence. Other times 20 miles or even immediate recurrence when restarted.
Given it is intermittent, I’m thinking not likely to be a fault with the heater itself? Perhaps a dodgy connector somewhere?

I haven’t seen any reports of this fault on other posts.

Has anyone had similar problems or have suggestions on what steps to take?

Many thanks.

The heater is known to fail. I have only recently responded on another forum, to a report of a failed heater, and a supplier saying that spares were no longer available. In UK other than in extreme winter conditions, you can run without the heater, but the warning light would be a problem with the MOT.

Just a quick update to say that UK Truck and Plant in Bedford (Fiat Professional garage), replaced our Blow By Heater. We’ve done a couple of hundred miles since, without recurrence of the problem.
We remain delighted with our Autotrail Motorhome, although really disappointed by the after sales service by Malcolm’s Motorhomes (Cheshire Motorhomes) of Crewe. There were a number of faults which became apparent in the first few weeks of use, which they washed their hands of. Some certainly existed prior to collection. It’s been easier to get them fixed and move on rather than argue about it!

Like wise we had several faults when we bought our PVC in 2006. As converter was local, some items were taken back fo them, but you still have take the time and pick up the fuel costs. If you are at all practical, far simpler to fix yourself.
