Hello all on the fiat forum...
Just got an R-reg cincecento sporting in the family for me sister, and i'll be the one doing any repairs and things on it so thought i'd better sign up here! Already sorted the handbrake thanks to your tips and not happy about the missing red key. Oh well. Anyway...

Is there any way of turning the interiour light on without opening the door, or am i being a retard?
What would I need to replace if i find a suitable donor car with a set of keys apart from locks and ignition barrel??

Cheers

the ECU would need replacing as well

as for the light.. i dont know.. either i'm being a retard too..or it cant be done!

Cinq Sporting - and yes, its broom yellow!

Theres a switch on the side of it, unless yours is different!

Where would I find the ECU?? An that would be all I need?? Set of keys and a matching ECU?

It seems the switch on ours is either off completely or only on when the doors are open. Just thought there might be another switch somewhere. What if you're on the phone on the M25 when suddenly you drop your beer and cant find it. You'd need a light to pick it up surely?

you dont need a new ECU.i would wait and if you have an immobiliser problem at a later date then fork out for a replacement with keys.in the meantime if you only have one blue key then you can now get a blue key cloned in case you lose one.cheapest way to get ECU is from the scrappys although there a bit hard to find and its easier to buy an MOT failure/write off to get the parts and on my courtesy light you move the switch towards the rear of the car to turn it onB)

Cheers for the tips guys... So you say the int light should have either on, or of but on when door is open?? Probs just got dodgy contacts then... So where can you get these blue keys cloned? Why would i ever need a red key??

Fixed it.. Someone wust have had the mirror / light off previously, and put the connectors on the wrong way...

the red key is needed to get new keys programmed (not cloned) and also if your immobiliser has a problem then it is needed then.https://www.fiatforum.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1066 check this link for key cloners and ecu reprogrammers .hope this helps;)
