i just got a qoute of £270 fully comp for my cinq sporting! thats with no no claims bonus!!! i have to get business insurance for it now and i'm using my 6 years no claims on my mr2 which is now costing £207 fully comp!!! great!!!

£1300 TPFT with 1 yrs NCB
last year it was £1600 TPFT with pass plus on a 899cc Cinq locked in a garage. Beat that!

TPFT with pass + 900.was also 17 when firsat insured it. shoulda looked around mate. norwich union direct are good for people our age.

Mine is now £500 due to me paying monthly TPFT with 2years NCB and pass plus. thats with norwich union. I found that if i put my girlfriend on as a named driver my insurance came down!

you guys are kidding! I just got quoted 2995 with norwich Union. 18 year old male pass+ been driving 11 months, with ma on insurance, driving for ages! wheres the justice. Direct Line did me a £899 quote- i going with them!

I know a Uno is slightly different but very similar in terms of insurance:
Spent 3 hours speaking to every insurance company I could find in a booklet called "What insurance?"
Best I got was churchill, 1.0ie Uno TPFT with Pass+ £897 with legal protection.
Second best, NU, £1195 (IIRC) with pass plus and legal protection.
The rest started at 1400 and rose to over £3k.
I think budget said 3k to which I laughed and said I would go elsewhere because i had a quote of 1300 (NU was the first I tried) they laughed back and said I was dreaming to get it that cheap, ha, how cheeky!

Thats insurance companies for u - robbing b@$t@rds!
They went through a hard decade from the late 80's/90's which left them making massive losses - well, according to all financial records but hey, what do they prove?! - and hence have recently been forced to charge silly money for a lot more premiums.
Remember, they're a business and have to make money. I know the majority say "i have never had an accident in 30 years of driving" but then there are plenty that have had 5 accidents before they turn 25!
