who are you insured with? and what are they like? cost and customer service-wise?

myself, ive been with NU for the last year and i now wouldnt touch them with a barge pole!

HIC here but have to say there crap if you have to phone them for anythin other than a quote but very cheep !! have used adrian flux too they are good to deal with but HIC were cheeper this year i usually play them of each other!!

norwich union but expires 1st dec, and there is no way you could get me to renew, even if they offered to insure me for free i dont think i would, customer service there is absolutely awful, wont go into full details of my experience though :)

am renewing with CIS, very good with mods :)

I'm with tesco's aswell, their prices are competitive.

When i first got insured with them, i had actually insured myself with another cinq with a very similar number plate. I didnt know this until i went to get the tax  Only a day after though, so not so bad. They were promt with sending through a new insurance certificate, all in all i am pretty impressed with them. However, it seems you can only tell how good an insurance company is when u go to make a claim.

i had an insurance quote for my 899 sx for 2500 grand plus i was like hahaha. this was online within five mins someone rang up (how scary is that) and said what did i think i was like were you having a laugh me engine is under a litre and you want 2.5k hell no. Am only 18 but there was no way i was paying that. Hell no

Well, Mine was £1500 TPFT on my first year on my provisional on my 899cc..

Now its rocketed somewhat to £1600 FC, with 2 yrs NCD and on a full licence...but that does cover those mods listed below :D

i was holding for 25 mins to get through to change something on my policy, so I know where you're coming from there. But to be honest, i'd rather pay BT 30p for the phonecall and get 300 quid off my premium!

The cinq seems quite an expensive car to insure i swapped my cinq for my old swift gti (100bhp as standard) and the lad whos got it now only pays £100 extra a year. And my premiums only dropped by £3.00 a month and the cinqs 8 groups lower. But then i only pay £210 a year fully comp with insured no claims.Bonus of being an old bastard.
cheers
Adrian

I just got a quote for the Punto, surprisingly cheap. I'm on my dad's policy at the mo which is a little under £300/year. To get my own policy (fully comp, all the options, £150 excess) is £630 on tesco, and the Capri would be just under £800. Not as shocking as I was expecting really, particularly for a 21-year-old with no NCB on a 2-litre Capri, but I'll wait 'till I'm out of uni before I bother with my own policy!

Just paid for my insurance (i'm 22 now with a Seicento Sporting 99 T, third party fire & theft). I was with Norwich Union who charged me £420 last year (1 years NCB), but wanted £460 of me this year! (not made any claims or anything!). So I phoned up to hassle them for a better deal and they've moved all thier call centres oversea's and I couldn't understand what the operators were saying, asked for a different operator, still couldn't understand, finally got one i could understand and they only got it down to £420. I went with Endsleigh in the end and they got it down to £350 and they've got an office on the uni campus if anything goes wrong!

HIC for both, cheap and efficient so far (no accidents yet thank God) - but they won't cover under 19's.
Sorry for quoting myself, but when my renewal docs came through they seem to have lost all records of any mods (inc. engine swap, turbo, kit, wheels, zorst, suspension) that were already covered and listed on the current certificate. Said they had no record of any mods done to the car, even though they had issued me a certificate detailing all the mods for the previous year.

Faith = shaken.

Currently with Direct Line.

Charging me £516 TPFT with 1 yr no claims.
They've said when it comes up for renewal in january it'll go down by ONLY £36

When online and went to Prudential site. Quoted £264 FULLY COMP!! (y) (y)

One hell of a difference :D :D

i went through the AA. they gave me a good quote for my mondeo and as the cinq is a second car they took my no claims into account on a second policy.

which was nice.

and im with the rac. hehe.
