does anyone know how much i would be looking at spending on insurance if i have a suspension kit fitted to my car? my premium is £940 under my mums name? (this is my first car and i have no no-claims bonuses)

depends on th insurance company and how they load the policy for mods.

am i looking at hundreads of pounds though? my insurance company is tesco's and there fairly cheap! its costing me £940 for a punto sporting 1.6 fully comp!
but remember its in your mums name,
how many mums want to lower cars? (no offence but it is how the insurance company will see it)

dawns a mum with a modded car i think its lowered so thats 1 so far.
EDIT: Just checked dawns profile and it is lowered, Any more mums with lowered cars out there?

nothing they can really do about it tho. they cant charge you for it as its there error for not checking in the first place and it is them that is backing out of the contract. Directline know perfectly well that i drive the car and my mum doesnt even though it is in her name. She has her rover 600 and my cinq down in her policy. with me as the second driver on the cinq (she owns the cinq now too). the cost is £500 for the both cars and i am insured to drive it upto 15000miles for the year.
