Hello. I am driving a fiat ducato 2.3 multijet2 130 bought brand new in 2019. At 94.xxx kilometers it started saying "Insufficient Engine Oil Pressure" when turning on the engine after it's been turned off over night. Now, nearly 8 months and 104.000 kilometers later, it still says it every now and then when turning on the engine. No lamps are flashing, only a beep and then the "Insufficient Engine Oil Pressure" text. It's been by the dealer multiple times for services etc and it runs smooth, oil lvls are fine etc. Does anyone know this issue?

There are a few "glitches" for which Body Computer software updates have been issued by Fiat. I'm not certain, but ISTR this may be one of them. Ask your dealer to check if there is a technical bulletin for the issue.

Hi, I have a 2014 Ducato 2.3 / 150 bhp and this message has been displayed on my van since about 6 months old. Initially the dealer thought it was a faulty pressure sensor but that didn't cure it, then a new oil pump was fitted at Fiats expense that didn't cure it either. A new earth strap was fitted from the gear box to the chassis still no difference. The message on mine appears every time I start it first time but is doesn't appear the rest of the day. The sensor that's fitted operates at 0.8bar and I was considering changing it to a 0.6bar to see if that helps. I believe this happens because the ecu is looking for all the incoming signals on start-up and if this signal isn't reported back quick enough then the message appears but on my motorhome it always disappears right away.My local Fiat Professional garage couldn't fix the problem even though they were in contact with Fiat. Apparently as long as the message disappears and there's no warning lights showing there's no problem.
