Installing Door Speakers

Hi all
A couple of weeks ago I installed new door cards with speaker pods, and this weekend I have to take off the door cards to fit some leccy windows, so I thought I might as well pop some door speakers in whilst it's all in bits.

I'm thinking of getting these, but I'm unsure of how to wire 'em up. My Punto mk1 never had speakers in the front doors, so there will be no wire for them- I know my HU has a pre-out for front speakers, but doesn't a pre-out go to a amp, then to speakers? (it's been a long time since I wired up my system )

So, the question is, will I have to amp the speakers, or is there a way of connecting the pre-out straight to the speakers?

Two options, either wire the door speakers from an amp

or you can reroute the wire from the dash speakers into the door speakers and use these as your "front" speakers. The sound coming out of the dash speakers won't be missed i'm sure
