Installed new mp3 head unit, but dashboards died?

1999 mk2 bravo.

Removed old standard head unit, installed new head unit, all went fine.

Turn ignition on, radio works, excellent!

looks at dashboard

Fuel guage isnt rising? Mileometer isnt on?

starts car up

Rev counter doesnt move?

drives a little bit forward n back

Speedo aint moving?!?!

What the hell?

Any ideas what the frigin eck Ive done?

Thing is all the other lights come on, battery, fuel injector warning light, key code, indicators, headlights etc etc..

Im totally lost on ideas, no apparent fuse that coulda blown.

All I did was remove the standard head unit and place in the new one. I even put back the standard one to see if that made any difference, it didnt.

Yup all are fine, but its all back to normal now.

The instrument panel works hunky dory now?!?!

Not that I did anything, which was rather strange apart from check the fuses.

Since 9am I've been pondering what the hell it could be and now its working.

Stupid fiat electrics.
