Technical injector light

If you just jump in and try and start it it sounds like there is no fuel.
if I turn ignition on there is a red injector light on the left and side of dash
at the same time I can hear a pump running when the pump stops the red light
goes out and it starts first time.
Only had it 6 months, but its a camper only used it first time this week
ran perfect as long as i wait for light to go out.
IS THIS NORMAL OR DO I HAVE PROBLEM LOMING

Are you talking about the light for the heater plugs which come on when you turn the ignition on? This comes on for 4-5 seconds and when hot the light will turn off, and your engine should start.

No mate its on left hand side of clocks and is a picture of red injector spraying
heater plugs on other side in yellow.

have found a decail leek on top of tank I,m hoping that's whats causing
problem.

would be grateful of any help.

You will always have to wait for the low pressure pump to pump up fuel from the tank and get up to pressure before the engine is good to start. That's when the red light goes out. If you've left the van for a while, it can take 5 or 10 seconds. That's normal.

Thanks for that I,m use to my old hdi just busting
into life with a turn of the key:bang:
The only other time I,v seen this red light is when it was under heavy load at the top of birdlip hill.
