Can anyone help please. I have a P reg punto 75sx, 50k on the clock, with injection system malfunction problems since last November. Been to the garage several times now and they cant work it out. first they changed 2 coils in the engine, then cleaned a fuel filter but still the same problem. its doin me head in!!![V]

how is the car running does it like to stall now and again, the injection light that comes on in liked to about three or foe different problems with the car. the fiat garage or anyother garage should be able to tell u whats wrong cause they plugg a computer in to ur ecu and that tells them whats wrong.? does the light stay on from the start? does it go off?

Damn right im good in bed i can sleep for days!!!! :)

you got it spot on - it stalls now and then - last night 5 times! this morning fine. the garage used the computer - and found the coil problem first time but after they fixed that they cant find anything wrong. was considering taking it to fiat but after reading up all the complaints about dealerships am wary of doing so.

The light comes on and off.

What are the 3 or 4 known problems?

I've got the same problem with my 2001 Sporting. The car stalls a little while drivin' in low revs and the warning light blinks for short periods. Sometimes the car even stalls completely at a traffic light, or such. The fiat dealer concluded that the lambda sensor failed, so they replaced it. This actually solved the problem for a few weeks, but the problem has returned. This could be a problem with the other lambda sensor but I think its a software problem, because the car runs fine after a reset.

if you have decated your car and rag the b*ll*cks off it,when you finaly start driving normally again it may just cut out when uv stopped. this is not just on punto's in to a few saxo's that do it aswel 1.1 to a vtr.
lamba sensor and the EGR valve both do simalier things to do will the fuel and air mixture ethier of them if not working right can cause ur can to stall. the valve on the egr sticks open and cause the mixture of air and fuel to be disrupted which causes your car to stall but sometimes it won't stick and your car will be fine it sounds like that. or may just be something else run ur tank down then go fill it up with optimax or super unleaded and rag it to clear the s**t out they may just work it has done on mine before hope this helps!!

Damn right im good in bed i can sleep for days!!!! :)

the main problems that will cause your light to come on
fuel injectors
EGR valve
Lamba sensor
ECU
very unlikely fuel injectors
