Technical Injection or Carburator ???

hi all
i have a 1993 1.6 sx i.e
on the top of my mainfold i have what it looks like to be a carburator with two blugs with wires but the car manual says it`s a s.p.i ( single point injection ) fuel system
now i want to take it it out for a quik clean but my mechanic says it`s very sensitive now i wanna know if it`s a carb or injec coz if it`s a carb i`ll take it out now but if it`s an injec i`ll never do it,
one other thing
my dad have also a 1993 Tempra sx i.e
but the engine is a little bit different
what i`m asking here is this
my tipo have a distributor that have like a long bolt going into the engine from the side but my dad`s Tempra have a distributor like a small black box
with the cords but it`s just bolted to the surface of engine side
so what`s the difference

You have single point injection. Do not mess with it. Just run 2 bottles of injector cleaner through your fuel tank.
The 2 engines differ because they have different evolutions of the Digiplex ignition.

one will be a mecanical dizy with a prong that gos in the end or the cam and the other will be a coil pack dizzy which is ecu controled...
