Technical injection light stuck on???

any ideas why this light(looks like a pump shape and is yellow when illuminated) has decided to come on, and stay on? engine runs as good as it did before the light came on too ???

car is mk2 punto 1242cc 8valve (2003 reg) with 32000 on clock.

and help will be greatly appreciated.

Alright! Disconnect the battery for a few mins, then reconnect. Usually worked for me...

tried that...to no avail...anyone else got any good ideas?

also does anyone know how easy it is to change the ecu on my car? i have a few spares and who is it on here who can chip the 8v ecu?

hi, i have the saem engine as yours and a few weeks ago the injection light came on, i took it to a garage the day after and plugged it into the computer there it showed up a fualt near the catalyst and all it traced back to was it needed a new oxygen filter, not to expensive if i remember rightly,

i dont think its a good idea to risde around with it on for too long id would go and get it looked at, even if it doesnt get fixed staright away, you can find out the problem. its worth it mine kept losing power then getting it back as well.
