Inept parkers damaging my poor car!

I've just come on here to vent really... Apparently nobody in my town knows how to park their car without scraping mine in the process. I don't have a driveway so park either on the road outside my house (parallel) or in the car park round the corner, but it doesn't really matter where I park, it still manages to get hit.

3 times so far this year. First a nice scrape down the back bumper, then a lengthy one down the side, including taking some chunks out of the alloy in the process. Then this weekend someone managed to do the front left - that's 3 of the 4 corners done, just one to go for the full house.

I've had some quotes for fixing these (as well as some pheasant-related damage) which were all over £800, which I simply cannot afford...

I just with people respected other people's property. We saved up to spend thousands of pounds on our car and the fact that other people just don't care is really frustrating... I mean, come on...! :bang: :bang:

I feel your pain. Ours have more Dings than a Chinese phone book due to selfish inconsiderate (PC Term) persons.

I feel your pain also. As a care worker I travel all over & around Inverness. Not as congested as down south, but there's still more than our fair share of inept drivers/parking idiots. I could go on & give details of some of the situations, but I cannot put myself through such bad memories.

Body wrapping specialists can apply a self healing film (e.g. Venturefilm) that protects paint from rubs and scratches. Unfortunately it wont work on black polyprop as used on rubbing strips etc but it does work very well on paint.

I know how it feels I live in Glasgows west end the streets are narrow and selfish drivers have bumped &scraped my fiat 500 pop I've just had all bodywork done at a cost of £950 .the car is only 5 years old .now I see someone has dunked it again my lower back trim has some of the silver scraped off it grrr !
