anyone ever had they're indicators start playing up on them?
recently mine, when indicating, will stop alltogether or pause for a couple of seconds, then after a while they'll be fine and so on and so on......vicious little circle.
i know rain could be a factor, but does anyone else have any ideas as to whats causing it?

thanks

If relay = fuse then the panel is behind a cover to the right of your right knee when in the drivers seat. You'll need to find the right one for the indicators.

In the MK2, when the fuse goes the indicator sound that normally goes "Tick...tick...tick" will go "tickticktick" instead. I drove on the M4 from London to Bristol with a blown indicator fuse and never noticed, until I stopped at a services, returned to the car and noticed that the indicators never flashed when I activated the central locking.

However, F39 (the boot light and radio fuse) is 10amp also, so I swapped that over into (correct me if I'm wrong) F52, and the indicators worked for the short drive to the nearest garage.

i've got a prob with mine aswell, the bulbs and fuses are all fine, but when indicating especially left it should go tic-toc-tic-toc but every now and then it goes tic-toc-ticcy-ticcy-toc-toctocticcy-toc, realy irregular and doesn;t seem to be related to anything.
recon just replacing the relay will sort it, will it??

one bulb must be loose it does that when a bulb is not working next time it does it try an stop slowly with it still doing it get out an see if one bulb has stopped working

I have this problem too but its only the right indicator, it kinda works then doesn't, if i manage to find this relay thing (lol ) what do i need to look for and do with it?

If it's only one side playing up,you'll probably find it's caused by corrosion on the rear lamp connections and or bulb holders. It's a common problem,I routinely clean all rear lamp holders and connections before selling any Mk1 puntos! Saves hassle later.
