Technical Incontinent Washer Bottle

Hi

Just bought a broom yellow sporting, after 20 years of running, tuning and racing minis my daily commute dictates something a little less fragile

How the hell do you get to the washer bottle, is it a jack up and wheel off job ?
The front washers work fine, but the rear one just piddles fluid out of the front arch.

Yeah. Get the car on stands, remove the Drivers side front wheel and the arch liner.
Should be apparent from there

The pipes tend to perish as they're close to the radiator, might need a new length putting in.

Yeah, Pete's right, I've had the liner off so many times I can now do it without removing the wheel!

yeah, there are two pumps if you remove drivers arch liner, the farthest one away from you is the rear one, the pipe will have come off. simply cut a bit off and re-connect, see if it is perished, then relay to right hand side of bonnet if poss. they are prone to getting hot!

I did the cutting a bit off and re-connecting bit but the perishing soon returns so just renew the tubing with halfrauds stuff or get some from the petshop.

If you can find a short length of pipe which neatly fits over the washer tubing, do this on the very ends where it pops onto the pump - has held mine for 3 years now. Seems to protect the ends of the pipe and stop it splitting.
