Introduction

I aquired this car with a totaled engine and other defects, currently fitting a mk1 punto engine!

More pics soon (y)

And we FINALLY have progress once more (y)

First, cut those damned weeds surrounding the car!

Better (y)
Image17110.jpg

So off with that awful bonnet and in with a battery...
Image1722.jpg

Confident it would start  but it didn't  this was the first time it failed to start! First instinct was to check the pump...
Image17310.jpg

Yep, empty tank :bang:

So 15 mins later... Will it drive?
Image1742.jpg

Damn straight it does :D We have a working car once more (y) everything electric works too! :worship:
Image1752.jpg

Time to relocate it to nearer the garage...
Image17610.jpg

Better :) I can get the tools quicker too (y)

Will I have it fully back together by this evening? Or am I being too ambitious... :chin:

please, continue repair ;)

I sure will :D

Good news people... I brought my Nokia back to life :) GRATUITOUS PICTURE TIME!!! :slayer:

First, out of the garden :)
Image2037.jpg

Yep, the van is holding up well if anyone is wondering. Enjoying a rest under that tree (y)

Up on ramps
Image2038.jpg

I had a little issue with lights going bananas... My first instinct was dirty contacts
Image2040.jpg

But that didn't cure it! Out with the old lamp
Image2039.jpg

That didn't work either! I noticed a dangly wire...
Image2041.jpg

So I earthed it and...
Image2042.jpg

Let there be light :slayer:

Next were the splash guards
Image2043.jpg

Lack of use is evident on the discs

While that side was off the ground, on with another alloy
Image2044.jpg

And back down when all fitted (y)
Image2046.jpg

Same process on the other side!
Image2048.jpg

Onto the boot...
Image2047.jpg

Better (y)
Image2052.jpg

Back to the interior. Something's missing...
Image2045.jpg

Time to awaken this from hibernation!
Image2049.jpg

Well come back to that in a bit... ;)

Decided to clean up the interior some more. Time to break out...
Image2056.jpg

Looking better :)
Image2053.jpg

And it looks much better when fully done (y)
Image2057.jpg

This is annoying
Image2054.jpg

It's difficult to clean properly (n)
Image2055.jpg

Then there was this to clean
Image2060.jpg

Better (y)
Image2061.jpg

And that was that for the moment! Nearly there (y)
Image2058.jpg

Nostalgic moment
Image2059.jpg

And the rear
Image2062.jpg

Just the exhaust left to weld (y)

Good to see this coming back together Mal... what a project(y)
It's taken a bit too long! An on and off thing... But I have it almost as right as I can before I move onto something else :)

That Tempra needs seeing to, prefably this summer... ;)

Cheers! Was thinking a black debadged bonnet, but haven't the time or paint! :(

You useless, miserable, hateful weather  Summer my arse :mad::mad::mad:

"I'll get it sorted in time..." How foolish of me! Nothing but píss, píss, píss from the sky all week :bang:

So in a week, what did I do? F*ck all

Well, I freshened the interior up :) can't exactly take a picture of a scent :p

I did make a vain attempt to clean up the outside a bit...
Image2091.jpg

But leaves soon undid that!

Rooted out 2 tyres :)
