Sadly Steve despite trying I can't get eccentric, it doesn't suit me. I've heard stories of poeple doing their maths under starwells with whiskey, others ONLY doing work whilst watching the washing machine spin and even of one who covered his whole room in aluminium foil. Sadly for me, plenty of light, a clean work surface and all my books help me best and although I mutter to myself, most people do whilst doing my work!

Well it's funny, I've been telling my friends who do think I think about work too much that I want to be excentric and they are formulating ideas - I think the desire to be excentric is excentric enough anyway!
That is fairly eccentric. Some of my family would say that my facination with all thing Italian is eccentric. For example, we just bought a pram for the new baby that is due next year. It had to be Italian so we bought a Mamas and Papas Primo Viaggio. Last weekend we ordered a new suite of furniture. I left 3 shops because the leather wasn't Italian. We eventually got one in DFS. I don't consider that eccentric, I just think that Italian products have more style. Anyway, my point is that eccentricity is subjective. One mans rubbish is another mans treasure and all that jazz.

All true although I have to say, some of the things you do for all things Italian is more obsessed I can get with wanting something in particular.

Right, back to basics. The monitor is the thing in front of you that looks a bit like a TV. The keyboard is the long thin thing with lots of buttons. The CPU is the box that is probably humming or buzzing, ignore that, as long as it's on you're ok. Anyway...
