Ok....Pic's always look better than real life...

The car lived in Gurnsey till 1999 and then lived a couple of streets from my daughter.....The guy selling it used to own a Fiat Panda haven/garage a couple of streets from my mum and dad...So the omens were good...

One owner on log book...48,000 miles...engine sounded great..slight miss that could be plugs or leads.

RUST TIME....Floor solid...Doors solid...engine bay solid...bonnet solid...tail gate small surface stuff....sills solid apart from a small patch on the top just down from door jam.....inside the boot just behind the wheel arches small crap repair on both sides (this is above the floor level)....front valence at bottom bit crap.....everything else small bits of surface or totally solid...

New exhaust....inside needs a big wash...EVEN HAS MK 1 PARCEL SHELF!!!!

So other interest...Well the bad news is its SOLD....:cry:

Good news is i bought it!!!....(y)

Will collect soon and post pic's...and Vern in answer to your question, i did say no more projects so you never know...;)

Great stuff!!! And yes, you're right, you do have too many projects. I do worry about the strain this must put on you :cry:. If there's anything I can do to help, like take one off your hands, for example, I'd be more than happy to. You know I'm only thinking of your wellbeing don't you kev, ;););).

Can I go to bed now?

and again!! you and vern seem to now be hoovering up all the remaining Pandas down south now Jon's taken to buying stilos and the like.
Mk 1 though, nice to see another old timer coming into the fold. Good luck with it (y) sounds a cracker so far.

Thanks Andrew...The Truth is i wanted it to be on the forum and felt that it would have been snapped up by someone and we would not see it again.

So i got it quick and will collect it today...it is very usable as it is, even the arches are not rotten...No dents or scratches.

May take it for an MOT to see if it passes, although it could be £40 wasted if it fails on something stupid. I will get it home and work out what the next move is...:)

Still can't get over the whole 'sell 2 4x4's as we don't need/use them all' and then go out and buy another Panda within a week :devil: :)

The bug is still very strong within you Kev! (y)

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: TBH i'm really not being greedy...I was in a position to get it and as i said it would be great to see it on the forum as a resto MK1...even if it does not stay with me...So yeah the bugs there plus i like the feeling of saving a MK1 for the Panda fans that we all are.,,,Hope that does not sound to righteous..:eek:
