Just performed an intersting test due to rising Fuel prices.

How can I get more miles per gallon.

Normal Unleaded I get 29MPG @ 1.26ltr (Normal)
Super Unleaded I get 34MPG @ 1.35ltr (V-Power)
Both from the same garage

Worked this out over 12,000 miles and I should save £112.80

Car:- 1997 B with 100,000 miles. Sports exhaust and RAM Air kit.

So what's the most economical choice of the 2?
I'm not into mpg and miles :yum:

option 3 move to Bahrain and drive as fast as you like....

16p/litre for the expensive stuff (mumtaz) 13p/litre for the cheap stuff... I like to splash out and pay the extra 3p!

Fuel is probably the only cheap thing here... any other part for the B costs a fortune (n)

I find super is the best for MPG and over all savings. It sounds weird that you should pay more per ltr but you get more MPG. I should save over £110 every 12,000 miles on super.

Or I shall move to UAE.

I was in Dubai a few months back and no one buys diesel cars over there due to cheap fuel.
