HELP!!

Trying to help a mate install an amp and sub in his boot. Got no problems with organisation, space or knowledge of how to do it.....

However, having seen it can be done how do you get the wiring (power for the amp) from the battery through into the actual car.

I cant seem to find any wiring that gos through the bulkhead that I can 'piggyback' onto, or any holes that go through.

!!HELP!! Anything really on how previous people have got round this problem, or ideas on what I've missed would be much appreciated, esp. as having taken most of the dash out, and the carpet up still leaves this problem unsolved.

Cheers in advance :)

iv put the cable on the battery, fed it underneath the battery tray, and theres a rubber grommet in the bulkhead under the battery tray which inside the car, is just behind the pedals of the car. iv made a couple of slips in the grommet (wise idea to take it out first! just make sure u can find it afterwards!) and fed the wire through that, and then under the carpet to the right of the pedals, under the sill and carpet to the boot! hope this helps

I had the exact same problem but overcame it..
I connected the amp power lead to the red power lead that feeds the headunit and it works a treat

hope u sort it :)

not a good idea as the headunit does not have enough power supplied to it as the cable is a fifth thickness

and i also used the gromet where the speedo cable comes through the bulkhead

iirc there are two rubber grommets under the rear seats, and one in the boot too. Could leave the cabling outside the car until it reaches the back? If not, the speedo the one i also used for my vacuum gauge etc
