General i want a cinq/sei can u help

Only the grey one has a sunroof .
The yellow one has a new rad, new exhaust , new discs & pads . I'll get it MOT'd this week - I know it'll need some work on the rear brakes , they're noisy . The 2 front tyres look pretty new , I'll see what the MOT man says about the others . The spare has never been used - still has "hair" .
Also the electric windows don't work - probably the fuse , but I'll sort that too .
It has 2 blue keys & 1 red key , although I don't think the immobiliser works with the power chip fitted .
The passenger door looks like someones kicked it & the passenger mirror is broken (I'll sort the mirror)

The first pic is a small dent on the nearside front wing - can be seen on the larger pic if you look closely . You'll also notice the bootlock has been removed & a small "FIAT" badge covers the hole . The rear window has tinting film and the rear badges have been removed .

I have the V5 in my name .The car was registered on 1/7/96 and I have MOT's on these dates at the mileages shown

October 2000............18398
November 2001..........22107
June 2002................ 24820
June 2003.................28123
June 2004.................32085

It will be mot'd again before sale & the current mileage is 42000.
I have the service book with 6 stamps up to 13/6/2003 and 28123 miles.

if there is no boot lock how do u get into the boot?

there is a opening lever by the drivers seat. you dont need a boot lock barrel

hope to be viewing a red chinq sporting tomorrow evening its a 'p' reg with service history, 10 months mot, no tax, no alarm or immobiliser, she looking for around £800 so hopefully it will be in good nick. anything you guys know that i should look for out for would be good ie common faults/problems i should look for?

Not sure if the non sporting have it but all sporting have the internal release yes.

Check the headgasket - is water in the oil? It will be white under the cap or the coolant will be dark in colour.

Does the handbrake work?

Does it go into gear ok?

And finally does it pull cleanly and stop in a straight line?

There are others but these are the main points.

thanks for that i'm hoping this one i see today will be 'the one', though i did want one in yellow or grey i'm thinking i am being to fussy as there isn't many sportings about in the south west so i will be happy with red

yes on a p reg it should have an immobiliser just been reading about it the early one didnt but that should, maybe she just dont know, are they just in with the key or do u have to stick another key thing into somewhere b4 starting car?

oh also, the imobiliser is intergrated into the key so isnt a seperate thing. but it does have one.. or atleast should.. its pretty impossible to get rid of it without changing the chip in the ecu

Applesei - I've owned the grey one for about a year but now want more power . I was thinking about fitting a 1242 engine , then came across the yellow one which I bought at a "good" price as it wouldn't start .

My next plan was to fit a 1242 to the yellow one & sell the grey one .
Then Bushboy puts his car up for sale , so if I can sell both the grey one & the yellow one I'll be knocking on his door !!

As for the yellow one , I've fixed the passenger mirror , and it failed the MOT on both rear tyres & emissions . I'll get those sorted this week.

Now if Bushboy sells his car before I sell mine , then I'll probably keep the yellow car . My local scrappy has 2 Punto Sportings which I have a plan for !!
