Hi guys, Ive got a quick question which some people might think is a bit stupid....

Ive got a couple of niggles with with GPS (56 plate, warranty Nov '09) and I was wondering what happens when you take your car to the dealer. The 'issues' are squeeky brakes, hill hold failure which stops ASR (3 times, comes up with warning and says to go to dealer) and my driver side windscreen wiper clicks as it hits the pillar.

I know these are small faults but I would rather get them seen to before the warranty is up. This is only my second car and my first newish one. Do you just drop in, explain the faults and ask them to sort them under warranty or do you have to pay for an inspection before they do any work? None of those faults should be classed as wear and tear I dont think.

I just have no idea about how this works and just wondered if someone could explain it to me.

You might have to pay a diagnostic fee however i didn't have to as they found the fault immediately and it was covered by warranty

Good luck though with the squeaky brakes they will probably class this as Wear and tare and charge for a strip and clean,

Faults with the hill hold and ASR should (touches wood be covered if they can get it to "fault" when they test it...

Wiper catching should just need an adjustment on the spindle...

Go to the dealer and ask nicely and see what they say (you do have the 3rd year warranty card don't your?
