Technical I need 20 or so BHP, where can i get it?

Right the 1.6 SX has gone , and i've had a sports car for a bit (v.fun little 2 seater mr2 - v.fast, recked the engine ). Now i'm back to my other fiat (1.2 sx i think). Could do with geting some more power out of the engine. What is the damage to my pocket gona be?

Which are the best filters for the job? what spark plugs & ignition leads are the best? and big money - which exhaust system?

I'd prefer to keep the cost low for now.

Idealy I want a 100 bhp 1.2 or a bit more, it should shift the car a bit better . Just didn't want to totaly abandon the Fiat brand when i have one still sitting around.

well an exhaust,filter and a set off plugs n leads aint gonna give you 20bhp im afraid

a nice exhaust maybe able to get you up to about 85-90 but thats probably a rough estimate. thats what i fancy doing next year to increase the power a little more in my bravo (when i finally get it)

or if ya can get all these

full sports exhaust
fast road cams
fuel pressure boost valve
high flow sports cat

then you maybe able to get up about 89 bhp

if you want to go abit more expenisve then add a Turbo Charger

this may then enable you to end up with an approximate bhp of 117 bhp approximately

yes but for all that you can just buy an hgt. cheap and big power increases dont correlate
