it is surprisingly stable on the road due to the 74mm extra width, only time shes a tad wibbly is when its windy because the wind catches her underneath easier.

Gotta agree with Jamie, it looks as though its been breeded with a rhino or something. Not to mention its probably impractical - although I havent been to Aberdeen too often, perhaps the local terrain does require a tractor.

But I guess your desired effect wasn't to make it as low as possible, just not my cuppa tea.

Mark

It should have no problem running right over that Escort parked infront

Is that yours Martyn?

everyone is entitled to thier own opinion but the aim is to make her practical for competing offroad because thats what i do,and due to her modifications she does her job well.

oh and my car is going back on the road in the next couple of weeks so she doesn't have to be practial for road use,but she is practical for me.

I gotta disagree, the vit has been made as practical as possible, it may not look as visually appealing as the smoothed off and lowered cars that dominate the cruise seen, but the vit can get about both on and off road!.

Plus this car got A LOT of attention at Elgin cruise, just because it is SO different!!

blah blah blah come on guys if you didnt know this person i know what youd be saying

As I said, it my not be appealing to the eye, but Mark said it was impractical, which is not true. If you see this machine you'll see that it is more than capable of doing what it's ment to do!

Anyway, each to their own.

You don't like it, fair enough.

I think most of us would stand by our comments, to be honest.

Ok, Tracey is a mate and Ive known her for a wee while..but the vit is still some motor. For what it is and what has been done for it its a hell of a motor!

It is a case of each to their own, Diekund, but in this case we have someone who enoys her off road driving and so she drives a vehicle which does the job. It can also double up as a decent road-legal motor too.

And yes, I think a weekend away and I've caught the offroading bug!

Its ok guys i don't mind, unlike most folk i am mature enough to accept my motor isn't to everyones taste at the end of the day i like it and thats all that matters, maybe if said person had a go in one one day when its doing its proper job he may change his mind then again maybe not who cares hehe.

Thats exactly it! You like your motor, who gives a hoot what anyone else thinks!

Btw this offroading bug - anyone ever said its contageous? For those who havent been it really is the best fun you can have and for so little money! I was passenger/driving a standard white vitara, with no extra road clearance or bigger tyres etc but even that was a bloody good laugh!

Half the fun as well is getting stuck and having to work out the best way to get your motor going again. I made a point of getting stuck or just about flooding the engine

Still fecking good fun!

well, i still think thats bloody cool. I'd like to see my punto try and do that, in fact, no i wouldnt cos it'd get dirty and scratched :(

but that car is a 4x4, thats the reason they build them, to go offroad

a punto was designed for the road, so there is no chance it could do offroading

But a Panda 4x4 is suprisingly good offroad apparently ;)

I think its quite smart, nowt wrong with wanting a car for what your interested in, if we all took notice of what people said none of us on here would change anything on our cars and we would all drive the same model, very boring.

If i had the money i would get me a landie defender 90 with a Rover V8 engine and fat tyres, its just all down to what peoples tastes are

That Fiat 4x4 looks like a pile of shite, If i was plannin on purchasing a lower range 4x4 I think this would probably be on of the last things id consider (despite it being a Fiat :lol :) I just thihnk 4x4s should be big and powerfull like my bros 2litre CRV
