Hey guys & gals,

Im James - from Cardiff, and owner of a Mk1 R -reg 1.2 SX60 Punto.

Kinda proud of it, but its pretty bog-standard at the moment. It only has the features it was "born" with (slightly tinted windows, sunroof) but its been so reliable - except for a tensioner squeal enough to echo off buildings, but thats getting fixed in a couple of days.

I really hope to learn more about cars - im curious how things work, especially if i use it often. Hopefully I can share whatever ive learned along the way with others too .

Done - so far should be able to go - cant say 100% though.

I have two dead ford escorts at the front of the house - been planning to pull them apart and see whats what - its no Punto, but would get some idea with engines?

One of them isnt firing on all cylinders - could be quite a first achievement to sort that problem out, but its a bit ambitious for someone who's only replaced the tubing for the windscreen jets .
