Technical How to tell if FIRE or not?

Hi all,

Ive been reading a lot on here and have successfully repaired a few little faults on my enigine but the one thing i cant seem to work out ir whether its FIRE or not...?

It's probably my dyslexia kicking in whilst reading but i havent been able tell catergorize mine from reading up.

could someone try and help my clarify if possible?

I have the 1242 8v MPI from a mk2 punto in my Sei and thats all i know? DId they make a FIRE and non-FIRE version of this engine or is there just one or the other?

FIRE stands for Fully Intergrated Robotised Engine (iirc)

just about all fiat engines are FIRE (8v) and superFIRE (16v)

so yes yours is FIRE mate and in my opinion the best one lol, the P75 1242mpi 8v is the only engine i would have in a cento, its what i had in my cinq and its now getting rebuilt and tuned and going into a friends sei lol
