How to run your car on chip oil

I dont mean it like that. I mean that my family dont eat many chips :D

Same here(y)
Yorkshire must be awash with chip shop cooking oil though, unless they`re still using lard:eek:

But then, as the biggest county so we should be,the Texas/Saudi Arabia of the uk with the most extensive chipshop oil reserves:D :D :D

You guys forced to live down south should come for a fill up

Ive got a funny one for you.

A few months ago i was chatting with someone at work, they asked which garage i fill up at, i said the Total in Snaith as it was only about half a mile from my house, and charged about 96.9 pence per litre back then (or somthing like that). They then said that they fill up at one somewhere on the way to York as it was about 2 pence cheaper then the average. When i asked how far away it was from them, the reply came about 12 miles :D. So the money that they save, they spend on travelling there. FALSE ECONOMY OR WHAT

think you have to pay tax (27p/litre) on new oil.

none on recycled/biofuels. :)

IMO there is no problem with bio/veg, there is a problem on cold mornings (less than 5degreesC) with the veg in teh system, if you get a proper kit that starts up on dieselthen turns over to veg, and back to D for turn off (to clear the lines/pumps/filter), then there won't be a problem any time of year.

its just if you have the patiance and the time/space to use veg oil. I've been running a van on 50/50 new veg/diesel since august, no problems.

tis a vw t4 transporter 2/4tdi, so would assume bosch running componants, but never checked :p
