Got a replacement pipe from Desira via eBay, about £25, a lot of dosh for a pretty simple pipe. The old one leaked at the nearside end i.e. RH side looking from the front, as water was seeping through the rust. Had Fiat had used copper pipe, this job would not come up, but maybe they saved themselves a measly Euro...? Replacements come with an updated contoured rubbery sleeve, not the O-ring of old. The aluminium exhaust manifold cover hampered access, and the manifold-mounted studs had become rusted-in pegs. We ground them off, pulling the cover frontwards to clear, and later drilled out the 4 past-it studs' holes and used big self-tapping bolts as replacements. Looks smart and all screws are tight 3 weeks later. The pipe's one bracket hole was a tiny fraction out of line-up with the engine's own screw hole, even with the pipe sleeve slid right into the pump, so we refitted a few times, judiciously 'persuading' it to fit by light hammer taps, till all lined up nicely. The rubber pipes have those idiotic factory clips on them. We just ground the screws off them and later used proper Jubilee clips. Do bleed the system carefully after renewing the 'red' coolant, else the heater won't work.
