Technical How to correctly proxy align?

Hi, after recently buying a new dash and the correct cables and software for my mk2 1.2 8v, I now need to increase my mileage to the correct figure using the proxy align feature of MES. I was wondering if there is a guide or whether someone could tell me how to correctly set the mileage and proxy align?

doesnt yani guide you through it when you clicky? on the appropriate section of his programme
he does on the torque resets

There is a brief description of how to do it, but I was just wondering that don't I have to enter my correct mileage through the body first and then align it?
