Technical How do you change MK2 sporting mirrors

Some git smashed my drivers side mirror on my 2001 MK2 Punto sporting. I have a replacement mirror and have removed the internal trim but cannot see how to take the mirror off. Can anyone please give me an idiots guide please.

you need to get a long nose pliers of some sort and turn a large black plastic nut which is holding on the mirror.nut is usually a bit stiff so make sure you get a good grip of it
