How do perform an oil pressure test

Hi guys. I've had a problem with my oil light coming on intermitently for a while now and have been told that it has something to do with the oil pressure because oil level is fine and everything else. Have just had an oil and filter change as well so have ruled that out. So basically what I'm asking is do you need some kind of special equipment to do the pressure test yourself or do you have to take it to a gargare which means more money.

never had one done but i guess a garage would fit an inline oil pressure gauge into your oil line,perhaps at the filter take off or pressure switch.you could fit one yourself but its probably cheaper getting a garage to do it

Not fancy trying another sender and see if maybe the current one is faulty?
