I bought a metal abarth side badge for my 500 from ebay but I'm not happy with it. it had a self-adhesive back similar to 3M tape. i tried to remove it with my nails but it won't come off and i'm afraid to try something else in case I damage the paint or deform the surface. it there anything that i can pour on it and make it come off easily? :(

this is the badge I'm talking about:

Use a piece of strong thread to cut through the adhesive foam pad.
Wrap a length of thread around the fingers of both hands, leaving about 12" of thread between your hands.
Place the free cord between the body panel and the badge, then pull it down behind the badge with a sawing motion.

thanks, that worked perfectly (y) but how do I get rid of the remaining? it cut through right in the middle of pad, it's like a piece of paper stuck on the car. I tried to remove it with my nail but a scratch occured and I quit trying.

sorry, forget what I said. it peeled off easily with my thumb. :) I hope I can get rid of the scratch by polishing.
