What do people think? Personally, I think they are some of the best for a long time, for example the "O.K" advert, the one where it knocks all the pieces of the Accord (?) over and it all works perfectly and then now the new diesel one "Hate something, change something".

I think they are just excellent but am willing to hear other points of views!

Me too but I have definitely started singing "hate something, change something, hate something, change something" lol.

Yeah, I do watch a TV inc. the adverts if i can't bebothered to change the channel!

Honda adverts are excellent, except the "worlds most common word" advert because WHATIF? isn't a word, have been humming the "Hate Something, Change Something" tune for ages!

trouble is, their ads never show the actual car and what its like, after all good though the engine ad is, cartoon engines arent going to make potential buyers think about rushing into their local dealer. Now a good ad was the seicento one featuring the yellow sporting with the redhead and music by slade, cmon feel the noise!

Erm, the adverts must work, I am talking about them, you are, a few friends are, yet I can't even remember the Sei adverts? I remember the Stilo and the puntos but it's hardly an impact advertising campaign!

If you hadn't noticed, it's about the image of the car through advertising more than anything else! It sells...

I'm with Nuova here, they have 30 or so seconds to show their product but choose to show flying cartoon engines! Hmmmmm........ bring back Top Gear of old where they opened the boot and told you how big the glove box was and fuel economy and stuff instead of ragging the arse out of cars to some over volume rock track!

I agree they're great 'brand' building exercises - they're not meant to sell any one particular model they're designed to sell Honda as an idea, as a concept. Even the Accord 'COG' advert with the tag line "isn't it great when things just work" is selling Honda's incredible reliability or more importantly the publics perceived belief in Honda's reliability. The new cartoon IC DTI ad is basically saying look guys you already know we make the best petrol engine in the world ever - now we've made a diesel - it's gonna be pretty damn good. Fiat needs to do more 'brand' building like this once they've got a really solid line up of cars behind them which hopefully they will have in the next 3-5 years. (they're you go I've bored you all silly again - Sorry)!!

I wonder what what a Fiat version of the "Isn't it great when things just work" ad would look like!

If my fiat dealer was anything to go by, it'd be a case of "the valves would've rolled over there but they haven't come in yet and we don't know when they'll be in." or "we can't figure out why the last 12 times we did the ad, the wiper motor worked. and it didn't last time."

just kidding

I like the adverts they put in magazines- the one bout writing on a banana was so random yet totally brilliant.

I remember the Sei advert, but only just, seeing as it was from about 1995!LOL

I do remember the Ads for when the Cinq came out though. 'I don't know why I love you but I do' song and lamposts making heart shapes as it drove past......

Fiat had some great Ads in the 1980's (remember the Uno Woman doing a world tour in a weekend in it, bizarre) and early 90's. Todays are crap though, have there actually been any TV Ads for the New Panda? I haven't seen any.

I love the 'cog' ad Honda did and in fact think it IS the best advert ever on the planet - the full length version is the best viewed in complete scilence just listening to the clunks, plonks etc - great turn on for me - car porn - I love it mmmmm :D Like the concept of the other Honda ads but that flying engine song really does my head in - like brainwashing but then that's the whole idea - clever.

Couldn't remember the cinq ad but now someone's mentioned lamp posts turning into hearts I vaugely recall it - would love to see it again.

Defo remember the Sei ad - it was good - first time I've found a red head attractive (no offence anyone!!!!), great sound track and think it illustrated the funness of the car well.

I reckon both those Honda ads are quality; the flying engines one has a well catchy tune and the animation is like Yellow Submarine (the Beatles film) and that one with all the cogs is just plain cool

Much better than "don't you want me baby/whoa whoa whoa whoa" sung by some bloody irritating Brummie plonker!

i love the honda ads, ive got most of them on my pc!! the honda website is class, its good to see a car manufacturer with a sense of humor :D

anyone done the Karoke version on the honda website yet??

also did you know thta the "COG" advert has only one piece of computer animation, which is when the exhaust silencer is rolling along, and that was only because they count fitt everything into one room (y)
