Hello all...what a great little forum! :0)

My name is Alex (my nickname is Trixie) and I've just bought a 2011 Fiat 500 Twin air in that lovely blue!

Everyone keeps saying I need a name for it now, I'm thinking Betty or Bobbi...

Anyway I LOVE the car but didn't get a manual (I'm downloading one as we speak) my old car was a Toyota Aygo which used blocks as a fuel gauge. I'm so sorry if this has been asked before but on my old car I could see how many miles I got (roughly) from each block (I'd reset the speedometer as it dropped a block) Sadly as I don't have the manual I don't know how to do it on this car...can anyone tell me? (I'm guessing its probably very simple)

Also I've noticed it doesn't seem to be as ecomonical as its advertised as being (mind you I'm not a slow ecomonical driver lol so I've only got myself to blame there!) is it right that I'm getting around 37 mpg?

As I said I do love this car, it looks like my headlights have eyelashes of them too ...very fun to drive and I feel ALOT safer in it than in the Aygo which pretty much blew across the road in the slightest gust of wind.

Thanks so much for your welcome, I hope to become part of the forum and enjoy the features.

There's a button on the end of the stalk on the right hand side of the wheel, press it and you'll get the range eventually :)

Welcome!

I also have a 2011 Twinair.

I'm afraid that if you like putting your foot down then 37-38mpg is normal.
However, if you the Eco button and drive very careful you can easily achieve 48-50mpg even around town.

What you will find is that as you get used to the low tone of the engine at any given RPM you will gradually use less fuel as you won't be revving it so high through the gears to reach your desired speed.

Enjoy!

Yes thanks all for this info...I have found it more economical as I've got used to the way it drives, I'm still getting use to the sound of the vehicle and the wiper juddering drives me mad but I'm such a convert...I love it so much, esp the way it zips off quick when you need the extra reaction time (my last car took 5 mins to overtake anything lol)

Hi and welcome to the forum. I also get 38-40 mpg from my twin air, I did get 57-58 mpg before by using eco, start stop and economical driving but the TA is too much fun to drive so I tend not to care about fuel consumption anymore :p

I just read this and can't believe this only gets 38mpg. I drive my 1.9 Grande like its on fire and can't get it below 44mpg. Seems strange.
