Hi

I’m the owner of this 1985 Pininfarina Spider Europa. It’s one of the very last produced, known as an 85.5.

Would be great to hear from anyone out there who also has one and if anyone knows, how many are believed to be here in the UK.

I took it to the Newby Hall show here in Yorkshire at the weekend and it got a lot of attention. It always does, it’s a lovely car and in great condition.

When I first got it I was sure that putting older style chrome bumpers and mirrors on it was the way to go, but the more I think about its rarity the less keen I am on making those changes. The wheels are not original - these are similar to those that were on the Volumex edition - but I do have the original Cromadora’s which are in perfect condition.

Would love to hear from anyone who knows about these lovely little cars!

Ciao!

Ryan

What a beauty. I am sorry i know nothing. Try "how many left" on the net. You do need to find the list of makes as it only does 10 years on the initial search, if it sees anthing. It’s abit of fun looking.
Thanks for the suggestion. I’ve already tried How Many Left but it’s one of the models that must be lumped together with a lot other miscellaneous cars that don’t sit in their own name category so it’s impossible to find out anything from there. It’s a good quest!

I finally found our Seat Leon 1.4S in there. It was 2002 and there were only 547 left, now 546. I imagine yours must be nearly unique. Probably more in the U.S.A. than Europe.

I was shocked and surprised to see their are less than 20 Panda Selecta’s on the road according to howmanyleft.com 😧
Mind you I’ve only seen one other Classic Panda on the road in the last few years, which resides near Bexhill, so I’d guess even the manual ones are few and far between now.

I’d have thought there were a lot more than that still out on the roads. As you say, that’s a big surprise to learn. Yours looks like it’s still got a long life ahead of it though
