Tipo (Classic) Hi from costa rica

Hi, my name is Edgar, I live in San José Costa Rica, my car is a 1992 Fiat Tipo 1.4L carburated engine.
The engine is in really bad condition and i need rebuilt.
Where I can buy parts for this engine, here in costa rica is very difficult buy new parts.

it depends on what parts you need but I take it there's no Fiat dealers in costa rica?




My best advice is to contact a Fiat parts specialist here in England, and see if they can get what you need to you perhaps!

Hi there,

Your best option may be find some help from Forums and dealers in Brazil... the Tipo was made there until maybe 10 years ago (?), a long time after it was sold in the UK.

But if you can find some leftover stuff in the UK then shipping etc should be no problem. And this forum will try to help...

The Tipo engine is quite simple and fairly reliable, you should be able to fix most things.
