Hi guys,

Another Peugeot loving aussie here.

Currently have no pugs but a great renault. My soon to be father in law has a fiat x1/9 he's about to sell to me hopefully. He's building a clubman from scratch and needs the room. So I plan to re-build the motor, give it a re-spray and touch up the insides.

Its a series 1 so it has the 1300 motor. I've heard that the larger motors are a good and easy drop in replacement but I was thinking of re-buillding the 1300 with either higher comp or some type of forced induction (supercharger).

I guess I'm just saying hi and open to any advise you may have for re-building a fiat in Australia. As far as I know we don't have as good acess to motors/parts as the UK people do.

thanks in advance
Dave

The label in the boot says:-

Grigio Metalizzato

You'll need to post some pictures of your 2 litre conversion. I've always been tempted to do the 2L Twin Cam transplant but don't really want to loose originality. Not too far into the future, X1/9's should start to fetch good money :)

I am looking for a cromablock without balanceshafts. The old block was to tall.
