Hi changing Radio on 1.6 16V SX(1996)

Just brought a Brava and the radio shows safe when turned on and then turns off after 60 seconds. The Brava has a new battery so most like the code if wrong. I was giben the code when I brought the car. I have brought a fascia and new radio so that I can replace the factory on. I have following the instructions but the radio won't budge. The radio in the instructions looks different to mine am i doing something wrong or am i just be too carefull.

Any help would be great.
