hi everyone

just a quick post to say hi to everyone and introduce myself, my name is jay im from huddersfield in west yorks and im a dad of one gorgeous boy. Im about to take delivery of a 1995 cinquecento and i have no idea what model it is all i know about it is its got electric windows so i think its an sx but dont know nothing else as yet and it doesnt run. The owner has just had a new clutch and exhaust fitted to it and it was running when she took it to the garage and when she picked it up it wouldnt start and hasnt since so she just parked it up and put it up for sale and ive bought it for £100 so im pretty pleased as long as i can get it running. Anyway i look forward to having many interesting chats with everyone soon :)

cheers

Howdy and welcome to the forum..you need to go into the chinq section and have a word with the guys down there ..they have a wealth of knowledge and I'm sure they will help you in your woe's..(y)

Hi Jay and welcome to the forum

As Phil says, head down to the Cinq/ Sei section of the forum for info. on the little beasties:

https://www.fiatforum.com/cinquecento-seicento/

Identifying the model is easy. If it has red seat belts, alloy wheels and a tachometer dashboard then it's a 'Sporting'. However, these parts can be fitted to lesser models. The biggest giveaway for the Sporting is the engine - it will be an 1108cc FIRE lump.

If it is in a metallic colour, has a sunroof, electric windows and central locking then it's an 'SX' (899cc ohv engine).

If it has a full length electric sunroof then it's a limited edition 'Soleil' (899cc ohv engine).

If it has wind up windows and no central locking then it's an 'S' model (899cc ohv engine).

They're great little cars, so good luck with yours (y)

hi guys

errrm didnt notice lol the only other thing i can tell you about it is its a strange sort of lime green colour lol i think ill take your advice and do a little post in the cinq forums im pretty sure its nothing major and from what i can gather the mechanicals are similar to the old panda/uno engines so pretty simple (i hope) lol

cheers
