Woooohoooo! Finally found a garage that sussed the bungee jumping revs issue I've had with my HGT :D Took a Fiat specialists to find (or at least attempt finding) the cause but very chuffed right now! It's been the main issue I've had with her, since I got the car 3 years back. (And really kills the enjoyment of it, being paranoid of possibly having to avoid a stall at every roundabout I approach!)

Anyway turned out that the breather pipe from the throttle body was split in 3 places. They've said that the pipe is no longer manufactured so have fixed it for now, if it doesn't hold out may need to have something custom made for it. Was just wondering if it was something I could get as a spare from a breakers or if this was shared with any other FIAT/Alfa that uses this engine?

The main issue I took it in for still has a bit of a question mark over it too. The engine was turning, but not firing for a good 10 minutes (even with the carb spray or whatever it was the AA man uses) ECU check turned out a cam sensor error and then out of nowhere it decided to play. Has been fine since and the garage have had no issues with it since in the 3 weeks they've had it. They also said that a cam sensor error shouldn't normally stop it from firing, crankshaft yes, but cam not so. Atm wondering if it could have just been an electrics issue. One thing that the AA man spotted was the lining for the bulkhead was partially missing and has fallen away a bit, so could have been water getting through to the wiring looms?

Had a look around but can't find an actual part name for it so guessing thats another breakers job. Anyone know if its standard across the MK2B's MK2s, or if they are a bugger to fit? (Circled in red). Want to try and get her prepped a bit for the long winter ahead. Thanks for any info!

there are a few things circled in red

Sorry yes might not be so clear. It's the bulkhead lining behind the bits I am talking about. On the ref pic you'll see there are a couple of clips and a big plastic looking vent box (where mine just has a hole) it's that lining assembly I'm looking to try and rebuild. Not sure if those attachments are something else entirely or whether could just be salvaged as part of a lining assembly?

Sorry, me either that's the problem! :D

attached another pic with a bit more spot the difference. Main things missing in red being the lining fixings I'm taking about. Not sure if these are just part of the lining assembly or whether I could get hold of them separately.

Also not sure what the plastic looking clips are on the strut mounts either whether these are just for anti corrosion? Likewise what the black box is on the opposite side to the wiper motor Guessing not as important but just curious on those really.

What I really want to do is now clean & restore this engine bay out and do a bit of detailing but want to try and fix things up first (& make it as water tight as possible).
