Technical HGT Flat Spot 1st Gear 4k-5k

Hi All

Well I have had my HGT for six months almost and we have put 5500 Kms on it. Cracking car and I really enjoy driving it.

However it does have a flatspot in first gear between 4000 Rpm and 5000 rpm. Under strong accelaration it pulls like a train to 4 grand then goes of the boil to 5 grand and then goes like a train after that. Cannot replicate it in another gear (i.e 2nd).

Anyone else experience this. Should I be concerned or just change up early?

1st gear is really just for getting the wheels turning.. I'd say get into 2nd earlier.

I get into 2nd as soon as so have not noticed sorry.

I suppose it's possible it's engine management, perhaps to do with emissions? That's a total guess btw
