Well, it feels as though I have forgotten what my house looks like already but I'm off on my travels again in a minute. Off to sunny Cardiff this time so if anyone sees Shabash! along the way (Hertfordshire to Cardiff) gis a wave! ;)

Made good time coming back from Cumbernauld yesterday though. Had a (very) late lunch stop about 4 til 5 but still made it home in just over six hours! Not bad for a 380 mile run. Gotta love Scottish motorways. :) ;)

I remember when I bought my car near Glasgow and had to drive home in it to Dorset. I suppose I should remember it was only two months ago.

It was hideous weather, half the time north of the border people were slowing down to 25 on the M74, cos you couldn't see a monkey's arse. Having left at about 5:30pm, it got dark quite quick, then there major delays past Liverpool and Manchester. Never mind two breaks at motorway services later I was home by just after 1a.m., which I thought was quite good time all things considered, in a car I hadn't driven before that day.

Lol, looks like you picked a bad day to come back then ;). I usually get my car maxed out down the M74 . And it's brill having no speed cameras in Cumbria or SW Scotland - the places I do most of my driving :D. The only problem now being Lancashire po-leece have got some shiny new unmarkeds that trundle up and down the M6 :(

Yes, the Police, they stopped me once doing 100.8, that's just mean, mind you I got stopped another time doing 99.6, which was quite good of them as they said my speed did go over 100 after they had taken that reading.

Obviously, now I'm older and wiser I don't speed.
