Technical Help!!

Well as I said on my introduction post I have 1995 Punto 1.1sx in mettallic blue. It has 55k on the clock. Whenever I move off and put it in second gear it chugs and splutters and then again in third, with no acceleration for a few seconds. What could this be and is it major?? I started it this last few days and before when I revved it it spluttered at stand still but it isnt doing this anymore!

Any warning light's on? Could be a couple of thing's causing the problem like spark plugs,ht leads, maybe even a faulty lambda sensor, why not get the code's (if any)read,saves messing about & guessing..
