I am sorry to say you men out there but I am a female and I am looking for help with my 08 Fiat Grande punto 1.3 multijet sporting, the abs warning light came on this morning, but my brakes seem to be ok. I turned the engine off for a couple of minutes and when started it still stayed on, can anyone suggest anything to help?????????

Brakes will work fine if you have no ABS just would not try braking to hard on ice, mud or water until you get it checked. if it a 08 car should be under warranty, take it in and say "Fix it now" lol

Hi and Welcome to The Fiat Forum!
Did you stop on an uphill slope and press the brakes more than once by any chance? This can sometimes happen and means nothing, not sure if Dealer can update anything software wise TBH but as far as I know, from personal experience, the Hill Holder can sometimes cause it. Mine has done it a few times but as you say, switching the ignition off & back on clears it.

I have no braking issues.

I had the exact same symptom, it was a faulty sensor on one of the rear wheels that was causing it, my dealer replaced it under warranty. Using the car on the road with a faulty ABS system is technically illegal and as such can invalidate your insurance if you need to make a claim. You need to pay your dealer a visit and get it checked out soon as you can.
