OK, I have bought the 100w Fiat sub and - having never done this before - am stuck

On the instructions it says to put the red wire into Pin 13 on the '32 pin connector on the fuse side' - how do I find this??

And then it says to put the gray wire in Pin 5 on the White 8-pin connector - where will this one be? In the back of the CD Player there are 2 8 pin connectors.

It's a Punto Active Sport Mk2.5 if thats any help...

Thanks

No - it came with all the cables I'm just not sure where to plug them in!

I have the sub fitted in the boot - that bit wasn't a problem!!

It's just finding out where these 2 cables plug!

Thanks

sorry about this but i am getting confused think i had to much to drink lol

so you have fitted the sub into position.

now normally there is a fuse that goes in the top and a plug connector. witha few wires in it. i assume you done that.

i thought that connector contained all the wires you needed. i assume you have tried stereo to see if its working.

anyway the two wires you mention are for power. the grey wire is the wire that sends a signal to the sub to turn on and off. and you are correct its on the back of the stereo there are two blocks there one block is teh speaker block one is the power block. the power block is the bottom block and you want the 5th pin wich is on the top row one in from passneger side of car. when you pull your stereo out there should be a wiring diagram sticker on the top and you are looking for the pin marked with the words aut/ant. wich stands for auto antenna wich is used to send the on/off siganl to the sub.

the other wire the red one plugs into the pin on the fusebox inside the car i have never had reason to find my fusebox but there is 2 one is in the engine. and the one you want is in the front of the car will probably be under glovebox or drivers dash im not sure.

as for wich one you want in there i dont know. on my diagram i am reading in the haynes manual the one you want is different to my mk2 punto its pin 7 on mine but you want pin 32.

hope this is of some help maybe someelse has done what you have and wil be bale to help more. my car allready had the sub when i got it

OK, thanks for that info fishdude!

But I still can't find this 32 pin connector it's talking about... I have attached a rather blurry picture of the fuse box behind the dash - do you recognise where I should be looking??

Thanks

hi there

i am comparing your picture to a fuse box diagram that i have infront of me in my haynes manual and the blue 15amp fuse in teh bottom left corner as i look at in the picture sholud be the subwoofer fuse sais its fuse 36 in the manual and its rated 15amp. its the side were there are only 3 fuses installed. there is a red fuse to the right of it thats does the radio among other things.

anyway im not sure how you connect teh wire to it though??? maybe there is a place for it to go on teh back of the fuse panel ???

anyway good luck maybe best to disconnect batetry if you playing with fuses ???

but this is all upto you, sorry if i keep going on but i wouldnt want anything to happn to your car becasue of something i told you to do

keep us posted on how its going :D

Lol thanks for all the help, but I just got back from driving round everywhere finding somewhere open on a sunday that can do it - and it's just cost me £15 to have it all fitted!!

I'll stick to my day job of fixing computers I think.... :bang:

Yes I'm impressed with it - it takes up VERY little space in the boot, and has made a massive difference to the sound!

No doubt I'll be back here with some other problem before long :)
